[He knows Shylock hates text but cut him a break, there's an emergency going on,]
So much excitement, isn't there?
Shylock-san, I'm certain that you are not too inconvenienced by all of this. It's such an inelegant attempt, intended to draw all our eyes away from the business we have been preparing for. Perhaps it will interest you to know that your lady will not find very much reason to pursue that bounty, very soon.
I would like you to know this.
We in Sutoku will not be distracted. I certainly hope the same applies to all of our allies.
[It's an extended courtesy, and a warning both. If the foxes stay in their lane, so will everyone else- and the Alliance will be the barrier to keep the Shutens out of Tamamo dens.]
[ you could at least CALL, matoba. but it's just like him to inconvenience a wizard during dire times, isn't it... ]
Indeed. The last time the city's been this lively was the night parade. To think we've been here for that long...
Anyhow. It is quite a shame that milady has lost interest. Not that it'd stop the other kits from going out into the Wastes for their own agendas nonetheless.
[He would but there's so much shouting in the background!]
Over half a year we have known each other. It feels much longer, doesn't it?
So long as we are all working towards the same goal, I have no worries. Those who feel a desire to protect this city and their clans are far more trustworthy than those greedy fools who are after a phantom bounty.
I do hope you and Hemlock remain safe through this night.
I knew that bounty was too good to be true from the beginning. The fact that Kaberou put such a large amount down just to get his daughter back, with no regard as to whether she return to him specifically, puts a sour taste in my mouth.
[ this is the part where shylock's taking a drag off his pipe tbh. ]
But thank you, Mr. Matoba. Would you believe that Hemlock has suffered less damages compared to last time? It won't take me too long to replace what's broken, thankfully.
And most importantly, do take care of yourselves out there.
text; about an hour after the explosion
